Description

Eastington Farmhouse is a two-storey farmhouse dating from the 19th century, attached to the east side of a tower. The building features painted stucco and a slate roof that is hipped to the east, with two brick ridge stacks. The front facade is divided into three sections, with a mix of 19th and 20th-century windows. The upper floor has 19th-century six-pane sash windows in the centre, sixth, and seventh positions, while the eighth and ninth positions feature shorter, older six-pane sashes. A loft is accessed by outside stairs at the east end. The ground floor has longer windows, with 12-pane sashes remaining in the sixth and seventh positions; the eighth position is blank, and the ninth position includes a broad cart-entry with a flat lintel. There is a centrally located gabled rendered porch from the 19th or 20th century, with a door that has an 18th-century painted rusticated surround and a heavy triple keystone, along with a half-glazed door. A 20th-century porch and door are located in the second position.

At the rear of the house, there is an outshut on the right side, while the left side is windowless, featuring a loft door at the left end.

Attached to the southeast angle of the farmhouse is a range of stone outbuildings with asbestos roofs, which have blocked openings on the front. There are dove holes in the east and west end walls, along with a corrugated iron lean-to and four doors at the rear.
