Description

The former Capel Fronwen is a chapel built in 1857, constructed from rubble stone with grey stone dressings, featuring bracketed eaves and a slate roof. The building has a broad gable front that includes two long arched windows, a broad arched center door, and a circular window above, aligned with the heads of the side windows. There is an arched date plaque that reads "Vron Wen Chapel by the Calvinistic Methodists 1857" set into the plain gable. The sides of the building have similar long arched windows, while the rear is slate-hung with two windows. The windows are designed with small panes and radiating bar heads, and the circular window showcases attractive tracery with colored glass, which is mirrored in the broad fanlight above the door. The doors feature three long arch-headed panels. The interior fittings have been removed, but there is a plaster ceiling.
