Description
Cwm Hyar is a farmhouse that features roughcast walls, slate roofs, and roughcast stacks. It is two stories high with a three-window main range and a one-window service range to the left. The windows are late 19th century or 20th century four-pane sashes, each with stucco hoods, and there is a central door beneath a modern porch. The main house has a moulded eaves cornice and a larger stack at the left end, while the service range has a large end stack as well. The service range also includes a modern ground floor window and a six-panel door on the end wall. At the rear of the main range, there is an outshut with a stair gable.
The front garden is enclosed by a rubble retaining wall on two sides, featuring large roughcast gatepiers on one side.
