Description
This is a 2-storey lofted cow-house with a lower lofted cart-shed at the north end, located on the west side of the farmyard at Cwm Hyar. The building is constructed from rubble stone and features slate roofs with brick heads above the openings. The taller section has an off-centre door and a central loading door above, with a window on each side and stone sills. The lower range includes a central loading door and a cart-entry at the end wall, which is framed by a stone-voussoir arch, along with a small window above. There is no obvious break in the building, but it is possible that the upper floor of the main part was added later.
At the rear, there is a ground floor door and freestanding outside steps that lead to a bridge connecting to the loft door. The building has a 6-bay roof.
