Description

Ardwyn is a mid-19th century house featuring a symmetrical frontage in a late Georgian style. The building is constructed of rubble stone, with 20th-century raised stucco thin surrounds around the openings, and has a slate gabled eaves roof with rendered end stacks. It has a two-storey, three-window facade. The ground floor includes a panelled timber door at the center, which is topped by a rectangular overlight with six panes set in decorative carved timber glazing bars. Above the stucco bands, stone voussoirs are visible over all openings. The windows are 12-pane hornless timber sashes with painted stone sills. The left gable end is finished in unpainted roughcast. There is a small single-storey modern extension set back to the left. The property was not available for inspection at the time of the survey.
