Description
The range of outbuildings to the northwest of Fron Dolau is constructed from rubble stone and features slate roofs. The original section is L-shaped, consisting of a stable on the right, a recessed carriage entry, and a cross-wing that projects forward to the left. A later parallel range has been added to the left.
The stable includes a cambered-headed door with stone voussoirs, positioned between two vent loops, and has a projecting wheel in the upper right corner for belt-driven machinery. The recessed coach house has a lower roof and a broad cambered arch with stone voussoirs. The cross-wing features a side door flanked by windows, a gable end loft light, and two narrow blocked doors on the ground floor.
The added range has a broader gable and is recessed, featuring broad ground floor doors and a window above on the left, with the voussoirs of the original narrow door visible above the current broad doors.
These outbuildings are not marked on the 1847 Tithe Map but do appear on the 1887 Ordnance Survey map.
