Description

Loch Shiel is a terraced house built with painted roughcast and stucco, topped with a slate roof featuring bracketed eaves and a stone stack on the left end. The house is two stories high and has a three-window range of plate glass sashes, each with painted slate sills. The original entrance is through a six-panel door that includes an overlight. A large porch, dating from the late 19th century or early 20th century, is made of glazed timber and has a cornice, with colored and etched glass inserts around the margins of the half-glazed door and side panels. The panel above the door is frosted and lettered in a style reminiscent of the 1930s. The house features stucco quoins and window surrounds similar to those found on No 5.
