Description
Cwmnewydion Ganol is a house dating from the 18th century, constructed of whitewashed rubble stone with a slate roof and brick end stacks. It is a two-storey, three-window front building. The facade features a plinth, raised piers at the corners and framing the central bay, a broken eaves band, and angle pilasters extending to the end walls. The windows are nine-pane hornless sashes on the upper floor and twelve-pane sashes below a central flush-panelled six-panel door with an overlight, topped by a flat hood supported by wrought iron brackets. Exposed brick heads are visible above the openings where the render has eroded; the windows have painted slate sills. The end walls have no windows and feature overhanging verges. A hipped rear wing, constructed of slate, joins the main range with a brick stack positioned over the rear of the front range. The house was not inspected at the time of its survey.
