Description
This is a range of outbuildings located on the north side of the farmyard at Pantydefaid, dating from the 18th and early 19th centuries. Constructed from rubble stone with a slate roof, the building is designed in an L-shape over two storeys. The south-facing range features five windows, while the west-facing side has two windows. All upper windows are square and have timber lintels and stone sills.
On the ground floor, the long range has doors and windows arranged in a pattern of two doors followed by three windows and then another door. The southeast wing includes two flattened arched cart entries and has external stone steps on the end gable leading to a loft door.
Notably, the southwest corner of the wing displays a reset datestone reading 'II 1758 Age 21', while the long range features another datestone inscribed 'WJ 1806' on the ground floor stone.
