Description
Gorrig Farmhouse is a farmhouse constructed from rubble stone with a slate roof and rendered end stacks. It is two and a half storeys high and features a three-window front with paired brackets supporting flat eaves. The central gable has a pediment and similar brackets, along with cut stone window heads and stone sills. The windows were originally 12-pane sashes, but they have been replaced with plastic, except for the attic's stilted lunette, which retains its original glazing bars and has traceried detailing in the arch. The entrance has a modern door and overlight, and there is a plaque above indicating "EAE 1810." At the rear, there is a lean-to extension.
To the north, there is a single-storey range that includes two ridge stacks, a door, a window, another door, and a window, followed by a short range that is set at right angles. The farmhouse is complemented by a small front garden enclosed by rubble walls, which feature square piers with pyramid caps and beach stone finials.
