Description
30 Alban Square is a simple classical terrace building dating from the 19th century. It features two storeys and three-window fronts, with scribed render on Nos 27 to 29 and roughcast on No 30. The building has rusticated quoins and end pilaster strips, slate roofs, three cement render chimney stacks, and wide boarded eaves. The sash windows, which have glazing bars on Nos 28, 29, and the first floor of No 30, are complemented by lugged architraves with ornamental keystones on the first floor. The ground floor windows are set in segmental arched recesses, with architraves (lugged on No 30) and keystones. The entrance to No 27 has a flat head with a lugged architrave, while Nos 28 to 30 feature arched entrances of two orders with panelled architraves and ornamental keystones. No 27 has a modern door, while Nos 28 to 30 have three-panel doors with five-pane fanlights.
