Description
Pontbrendu is a two-storey building constructed from whitewashed rubble stone, topped with a slate hipped roof and featuring a central stone chimney. The front has three windows, with small 9-pane tilting windows on the upper floor and 4-pane casement windows on either side of a ledged door on the ground floor. Stone voussoirs are present above the door and the ground floor windows. At the rear, there is an added outshut with a whitewashed stack on the south side wall, along with a door and window on each side.
The interior has a simple two-room layout with a central chimney and a lobby entry. It includes ledged doors and a rear door leading into the outshut. The south room features a 19th-century iron grate, and there is an open tread stair leading to the loft. The loft floor is finished with tongue-and-groove boarding, and there is a blocked rear opening that leads into the outshut.
