Description
The schoolroom to St Paul’s Welsh Wesleyan Methodist Church is a two-storey building dating from the same period as the chapel, featuring a similar classical style. It has a three-bay gable-ended front with a pediment, constructed from bull-nosed rubble with freestone dressings. The gable has a parapet, and the plinth and banding continue from the chapel. The roof is slate-covered.
The building's balustraded parapet has finials at the ends over the advanced outer bays. The central tripartite window has arched heads and pilasters beneath a dressed arched surround, with a dated roundel, keystone, and an attic roundel. This window is flanked by giant order composite pilasters. The outer bays feature arched-headed sash windows with keystones and fret pattern impost blocks. The central entrance is moulded and arched, with double panelled doors and a fanlight.
The right side has four windows and five bays, with buttresses and stock brick dressings. It includes dormers with flat roofs and cross frame windows, while below are arched-headed Venetian style two-light windows, though the left window is blocked.
Inside, the open roof is closed at collar level, featuring twin-arched braces below. The building has been converted for chapel use after the original chapel fell into disuse.
