Description

58 Marine Terrace is a Victorian building, dating from the same period as the late Georgian Promenade. It is part of a terrace, and its front facade is of stucco, roughcast, and cement render, with channelled detailing on the ground floor and plinths. The building is four stories high and has a two-window arrangement. The roof is slate, and the chimney stacks are of stock brick with wide bracket eaves. The majority of the windows are horned sashes. Nos. 58 and 60 to 62 have ornamented architraves around the first-floor windows; No. 57 has plain architraves, and No. 59 has a more modern window on the upper floors. Later half-glazed porches have been added to Nos. 57 and 59. The rear of the building features some small-pane sashes overlooking rubble walls.
