Description

16 Queen Street is a late Georgian building featuring two storeys and a two-window front, with the facade stepping up at No 12. The buildings from Nos 8 to 14 are finished in cement render, with Nos 8 and 14 being colourwashed, while No 16 has a roughcast exterior. The roofs are covered with slate and there are brick chimney stacks. No 8 includes a modern attic dormer, and Nos 12 and 14 have attic skylights. The windows are sash style with small panes, except for No 16. Classical pilastered doorcases with cornices are present at Nos 10 to 16, while No 8 features a bracket pedimented doorcase. Each door is a four-panel design. The terrace is stepped to accommodate the slope of the street.
