Description

10 Queen Street is a late Georgian, two-storey building with a two-window front, which is stepped up at No 12. It appears on an 1834 map as No 8. The buildings from Nos 8 to 14 are finished in cement render, with Nos 8 and 14 being colourwashed, while No 16 is roughcast. The roofs are slate, and there are brick chimney stacks. No 8 features a modern attic dormer, while Nos 12 and 14 have attic skylights. The windows are sash with small panes, except for No 16, which has different windows. The doorcases for Nos 10 to 16 are classical and pilastered with cornices, while No 8 has a doorcase with a bracketed pediment. All the doors are four-panel designs.
