Description

This is a triangular fronted pillar made of compact sandstone, built around 1790. It features elegantly incised lettering, which has been partially overpainted in black. On the left face, it reads "5 / NEWT," and on the right face, it reads "23 / MACH / CHYN / LLETH." The reversal of the faces suggests that this milestone has been moved from the opposite side of the road.
