Description

Cilgwrgan Bridge is a three-span bridge featuring wide segmental arches. It is constructed from coursed, grey, rock-faced masonry, with pilasters at each end. The arches are made of red brick, consisting of six courses of headers, and are topped with tall, narrow keystones. The bridge has protruding, pointed cut-waters that are capped with red sandstone and have narrow plinths. The parapets include string courses made of red dressed sandstone, which are tooled with margin drafting and have curved ends.
