Description
Lower Cwm Du is a 2-storey, 2-window cottage with a lobby entry, built from whitened rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. It features a brick roughcast stack on the left side. The windows on the lower storey have brick segmental heads and are 2-light iron-framed casements with small-pane Gothic glazing, which is typical of the Abbey Cwmhir Estate. The lower left window and the doorway at the left end are obscured by a later lean-to porch, and the entrance has a replacement door. The back of the cottage is blank.
