Description

Bridge 124 over the Montgomeryshire Canal is a Grade II listed structure built between 1794 and 1797 as part of the original engineering work by John and Thomas Dadford. The bridge is constructed of brick with stone copings along the parapet. It features a single arched span with slightly curving abutments that end in simple piers, which are damaged on the west side. The arch is made of voussoirs and has an advanced brick keystone, while a simple string course marks the base of the parapet. Despite some damage, the bridge retains its original character as part of the Montgomeryshire Canal's engineering heritage.
