Description
The Cat and Fiddle is a late 18th century to early 19th century building that features a two-storey roughcast front, which is part of an earlier structure. It has a slate roof with a shallow pitch and wide eaves, along with end brick stacks that have a stepped base on the left side. The front has two windows, which are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, and a wide timber porch with a pitched roof located at the center.
At the rear, there is a cross-wing that has a higher stone slate roof that sweeps low to each side, with a dormer head on the east side.
Inside, the building retains some timber studding, two ingle-nook fireplaces, and six-panel doors with raised fields, among other features.
