Description

Pont-y-pentre is a single span bridge made of local shaley stone, featuring an elliptical arch that measures approximately 10 meters. The bridge has rusticated voussoirs and a triple keystone on both sides. There is a string course at the base of the parapets.

The carriageway is about 4 meters wide, and the orthostat sandstone parapets are around 0.8 meters high. The parapets are slightly turned out at each of the four corners to form piers.
