Description
Glebe Farm is a three-unit, L-shaped house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The main range is timber framed with a rubble stone gable wall to the north, and has a slate roof. A stack is located at the junction with the stone cross-wing, with the lower part of the stack being stone and the upper part rebuilt in brick. The timber frame is square-panelled with brick nogging, all painted white. A glazed porch with a corrugated metal roof has been added to the west side, along with an inserted doorway at the north end. Casement windows are present in the west gable and upper storey. On the east side, a single tension brace is visible in the framing, along with one casement window in the lower storey. A random rubble lean-to with a slate roof extends from the east side. The cross-wing is constructed of random rubble with a stone-tiled roof, featuring small-paned casement windows in both the upper and lower storeys of the west gable. A single casement window is found on the south side, and another in the east gable. Garden walls adjoin the north-west and north-east angles. The property was not accessible at the time of inspection in March 1996.
