Description
Todleth House is a two-storey building with a double depth plan and a symmetrical front, featuring three bays and a cellar. It has two gable stacks, with the front range constructed of brick and the rear range made of rubble masonry, all topped with slate roofs that have overhanging eaves.
The striking front facade includes a central entrance set in a projecting bay with a pediment. A shallow gabled porch, approached by stone steps, is made of timber and glazed panels, some of which are stained. The entrance features a six-panelled door flanked by half-lit double doors with small paned windows. Above the porch, there is a tall stair light with gauged brick arched heads and radial glazing, extending into the stone pediment above. On either side of the entrance are four-pane sash windows beneath finely gauged brick flat arches, with a continuous stone sill band. The ground floor windows are tripartite sashes with segmental brick arches and projecting stone sills, and the tops of the window frames are decorated. Cellar windows can be seen with stone lintels.
Inside, there is a central hallway and staircase, with reception rooms on either side and a large kitchen at the rear. The interior features panelled doors and reveals.
