Description

The Vicarage is a two-storey building constructed of pebbledashed brick, featuring hipped slate roofs and wide boxed eaves. The layout consists of a long range with a cross range in the second bay that projects on both sides, along with a narrower projecting range for the kitchens on the entrance side, which is now a separate property known as Glebe House.

The main entrance is located in the cross range and features a moulded arch that contains a later oak door with planted mouldings, all set within a timber boarded porch adorned with applied trellis work. The building has twelve-paned sash windows with moulded architraves, and the sill of the upper floor's six-paned sashes continues around the bay as a plat band. The garden front of the cross range includes a corresponding canted gable, with ground floor windows that open onto steps leading to the garden.

The north wing, now Glebe House, has a gable that is two window bays wide, featuring leaded glazing and iron quarter lights on quadrant stays.

Inside, the main drawing room at the garden end of the cross wing is divided by two transverse beams and includes two wide shallow arched recesses on either side, with a stack on the rear wall. The room also features a moulded plaster cornice and a six-panelled door.
