Description

House, whitewashed render, lined as ashlar with slate close-eaved roof and three roughcast chimneys, one each end and one on ridge left of centre. The right end stack has big external chimney breast with two diagonally set late C17 shafts. Two storeys and attic, main three-bay house with two gables to right, and service range with one gable to left, under single roof. Front windows apart from those in gables are all imitation sashes in uPVC. Main part has two 9-pane attic sash windows in the gables, three uPVC 16-pane sashes to first floor and two to ground floor, flanking centre half-glazed door. Service range gable is spaced well to left of other gables: 9-pane attic window, pair of imitation 12-pane sashes to first floor (replacing C19 4-pane sashes), and ground floor C20 glazed door (replacing C19 6-pane sash). Triple casement to left (replacing a door), and imitation 16-pane window to right. Two-storey rear NE stable wing with granary over stable and cider room.

Interior not inspected. The plan as drawn in 1964 showed a main range with beams dividing it into five bays, with large chimneys each end, divided by partitions into parlour to E, stair hall to centre and hall to right. The kitchen was in the added W end service range, with dairy to rear.
