Description
The barn at Llwynburfach Farm is likely an 18th-century timber-framed structure. It features a high stone plinth and a steep, undulating roof, with stone tiles on the front pitch and slate on the rear. The eaves are overhanging, and there is later weatherboarding added to the exterior. The barn has doors leading to the threshing floor near the upper end, although some doors are partly missing at the front. At the rear, there is a corrugated iron lean-to on the downhill side. The stone gable end on the downhill side has been partially rebuilt, while the uphill end has a lean-to that has also been rebuilt.
The barn consists of five bays and includes two pairs of overlapping purlins supporting simple pegged trusses. It was formerly divided by square-framed partitions on either side of the threshing floor.
