Description
This is a timber-framed barn located at Lower Llwynburfach, classified as a Grade II building. It features a high stone plinth and a steeply undulating roof, with stone tiles on the front pitch and slate on the rear. The barn has overhanging eaves and later weatherboarding has been added. There are barn doors leading to the threshing floor near the upper end, although some doors are partly missing at the front. A corrugated iron lean-to is attached to the downhill part at the rear, and the stone downhill gable end has been partially rebuilt with a lean-to at the upper end.
The barn consists of five bays and has two pairs of overlapping purlins supporting simple pegged trusses. It was formerly divided by square-framed partitions on either side of the threshing floor.
