Description

Brook House is an L-plan building that was originally timber-framed but now features rubble walls from various phases of construction. The rear gable of the crosswing displays an exposed queen-post truss. The roofs are covered with slate, and there is a rubble chimney stack on the south range, along with a rubble stack topped with brick on the north side of the crosswing. The windows are arranged randomly, primarily featuring 20th-century casements, while the south-west elevations have a more regular arrangement of openings beneath cambered voussoir lintels. The front door is part-glazed.

Inside, the house reveals exposed timber-framing and beams that feature stop-chamfered detailing with square-cut stops.
