Description

Pont Rhyd-yr-efail is a minor single-arch bridge with a span of about 12 meters, characterized by its informal design. It is constructed entirely of quasi-rubble masonry, featuring rough voussoirs and uncoursed common masonry. The bridge has a somewhat humped shape and is built from a bluff of rock on either side, elevated above the stream level at areas that were once shallow enough to ford. The carriageway measures approximately 3 meters in width and is flanked by low parapet walls that are topped with rough crenellations.
