Description
The Eastern Cartshed at Coed-y-dinas is a single-storey structure built around 1850, originally part of a home-farm for the Powis Estate. Although the farm underwent significant redevelopment in the 1870s as 'Lord Powis's Model Farm', this cartshed likely predates those changes. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped slate roof. The front is open with six bays supported by cast-iron columns resting on padstones. This cartshed is noted for being an unaltered example of a mid-19th century cartshed and is an integral part of the farm group at Coed-y-dinas.
