Description
Radnor House, which includes Annie's Cake Shop and Nick's Bargain Centre, is a two-storey building featuring three half-timbered bays. It has an applied black and white treatment with cusped panels and ornamental pargetting infill. The building is topped with high tiled roofs and over sailing eaves, while the centre bay has a hipped roof with tiny swept dormers and cusped lights. The outer gables have panelled bargeboards with finials, and the first floor jetties over cantilevered bays, each with four lights. A frieze of coloured mosaic tiles runs above the ground floor fascia, which is topped by a continuous crenellated cornice. The shop windows have small-paned heads, and there are three doorways with Gothic panelled doors and coloured glazing in the fanlights, including a doorway on a splayed corner. At the rear, there is an older wing built of rubble with a slated roof.
