Description

Canal Bridge No 4 on the roadway to Bridge Farm is a bridge on the Guilsfield Branch of the Montgomeryshire Canal, built between 1794 and 1797. It features brick arch and abutments, with sandstone copings. The bridge has a parabolic arch made of 13-inch brick, and the abutments are splayed at both ends, ending in 18-inch brick piers. The parapet rises at an angle along the abutments and flattens over the bridge, topped with a flush square stone coping.
