Description
The Coach House at Castell Madoc is a stable and coach-house range built from rubble stone, topped with an imitation slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features five bays, with the central three bays slightly projecting and topped by a broad gable. The gable includes a glazed roundel made of glass and stone voussoirs. On the first floor, there are three square windows with cambered heads, all featuring stone voussoirs; two of these windows have casement pairs, while the left window is unglazed.
The ground floor has a wide elliptical arched coach entry flanked by casement pairs, all with stone voussoirs. Each wing on either side contains a central casement pair under the eaves and a cambered-headed casement pair below, both with stone voussoirs. The west end has one first-floor casement pair and a blocked attic window, both also featuring stone voussoirs.
The rear of the building is constructed from rubble stone on the right side and includes one first-floor casement pair with stone voussoirs. There is a 19th-century lean-to added across the center and left side, which has a blocked coach entry aligned with the front coach entry, along with a door and a 12-pane hopper window to the left. The property is not available for inspection.
