Description
Green Square comprises a pair of houses dating to the 18th century, constructed of rubble with a half-hipped slate roof and a central brick chimney arranged in a triple stack. The houses are two storeys high with an attic, each featuring two windows on the front elevation, with doorways positioned at the ends. The first-floor windows are deeply set below the eaves and are broad, camber-headed with multi-pane glazing. The ground-floor windows are similar but larger. The house on the left has a camber-headed doorway with an original boarded door, while the house on the right has a square-headed doorway with a modern door. The gable elevation on the right features a camber-headed window at attic level. The gable elevation on the left has a camber-headed window at attic level and a section of red brick indicating the former presence of a chimney. At the rear, facing the church, each house has two camber-headed windows on the first floor and a single, taller camber-headed window on the ground floor, all with multi-pane glazing.
