Two storeys, rubble stone, slate roof, two end stacks, left-hand end in brick, right-hand end with original squared rubble stack. [New extension of 1988 on site of former attached barn/byre.] Three-window range, boarded floor to left of centre. All windows modern timber casements, upper windows set in portion of raised walling.
Much original detail survives including fine plank and muntin screen dividing the main room from the central staircase hall. The room on the far side of the hall was previously subdivided to give a rear dairy. Studwork wall partitions, modern open stairs on site of original. Main room has large open fireplace with massive chamfered and stopped timber lintel, partially infilled with inset range, brick-lined bread oven in corner. Scroll-stopped beams and exposed joists, large flagstones throughout. The screen is chamfered on the main room side with straight-cut stops. Evidence for former bench fixings and also a door at the N end. The S end doorway survives and has beaded architraving.
