Description

Short Bridge is a single segmental arch twin-track bridge constructed from heavily tooled coursed rubble. The keystone of the arch rises to a band course located just below a modern concrete parapet that features a metal handrail. There is an inset tablet on the downstream side of the bridge. The old rubble parapet walls are retained at the western end, curving outwards, and on the southern side, they continue along Penygreen Road as far as Nos 1 to 5. At the eastern end, the modern parapets connect with the adjacent buildings.
