Description
Belmont House, which includes Derek's Hairstyles, is a three-storey building with a stucco front that steps back on the right side. There is a yard entrance to the left and a slate roof featuring a large rubble chimney stack at the center. The second floor has two windows with double hung sashes and glazing bars. The ground and first floors have outer splayed bays, with vertical glazing bars on the first floor and double shop fronts on the ground floor. A central fluted doorpiece with pilasters, a cornice, and a patterned frieze adds to the façade. At the rear, the gable jetties over the ground and first floor levels, with additional gabled ranges extending to the west along the yard. A single late medieval roof truss is reported to survive in the dividing wall with the adjoining Mansion House.
