Description
This is a K6 type telephone call box, dating from the 1930s. It is a square kiosk constructed of cast iron, standing on a moulded plinth. The domed roof features four lunettes, each containing an embossed depiction of the head of King George VI, and red lettering spelling out "TELEPHONE,” alongside ventilation slits. The sides and door have raised surrounds with marginal bars to the horizontal glazing.
