Description
Mold Lodge is a single-storey building with a basement, featuring an L-shaped plan that includes a main range and a left wing, with a porch located at the angle between the two and a short rear wing. The structure is built of snecked dressed stone and has a slate roof with stone stacks on the left-hand and rear wings. The porch is asymmetrical, featuring a splayed entrance and a parapet that rises above a round tablet displaying the Buddicom monogram 'WMB' in raised letters. The entrance includes a shouldered lintel, leading to a boarded door that opens into the wing. On the wider right-hand side, there is a small lintelled window, and further right, a 2-pane sash window is located in the main range. The left wing features a canted bay window in its gable end, which incorporates a pair of 2-pane sashes. Both the right gable end of the main range and the gable end of the rear wing also have paired 2-pane sash windows. At the rear, there is a lean-to in the angle with the main range that has a boarded door in its end wall, and to the right of this, the main range has a segmental-headed basement door. The building has not been inspected.
