Description
The bakehouse at Gellilyfdy is a single-storey structure built of rubble stone with a slate roof. It faces the main house and features openings beneath wooden lintels. On the left side, there is a boarded door next to a 2-light shuttered opening, followed by another boarded door and a doorway at the right end, which was originally full-height but now has brickwork inserted below the eaves.
External stone steps are located against the left gable end, leading up to a boarded loft door under a wooden lintel, likely providing access to a small granary. The rear of the bakehouse is marked by a prominent projecting stack with a tall stone shaft, and there is a low, round projection where a bake oven has been added. To the left of the stack, a window has been partially infilled with blockwork, while to the right of the stack, there is a small-pane window. The right gable end features a metal-framed window under a wooden lintel.
