Description

This listing describes a pair of lime kilns dating from an unspecified period, constructed from rubble stone and situated within a quarried depression. The kilns face west and feature stone walls on the west and south sides, while the north and east sides are built into a bank, with the quarried face exposed to the east. Both kilns have segmental draw arches made of brick. The left-hand kiln, which is on the north side, has a collapsed draw hole, while the draw arch of the right-hand kiln is almost completely infilled. Inside, both kilns are lined with brick but are infilled and partly collapsed.
