Description
The gate piers, gates, and railings at Seaview Lodge form a symmetrical arrangement featuring double gates flanked by single pedestrian gates, with railings that have terminal piers. The main gates are supported by pecked stone piers, which include a frieze of blind keyed oculi beneath stepped caps topped with ball-and-steeple finials. The cast iron gates feature arched panels and disc friezes, along with decorative and waisted finials. The pedestrian gates are similar in style but have lower and simpler outer piers compared to the main gates. The railings are set on a dwarf wall and end with piers that resemble the outer pedestrian gate piers.
