Description
Carmel Baptist Chapel, built in 1906, is a chapel featuring rough cast render with smooth render dressings and a slate roof topped with a red tile ridge. The roof has two small ventilators at the ridge. The front elevation showcases a framed main door with triplet windows above, which are framed by rusticated pilasters and a stilted segmental arch. The door itself has rusticated jambs and a stilted segmental arch, while the windows above have square heads. Flanking this central feature are eight-pane sash windows with margin glazing on each side, and there are four similar windows on each side elevation.
At the gable apex, there is a round ventilator and embossed lettering that reads 'Carmel Bedyddwyr 1906'.
Attached to the rear of the chapel, but originally a separate structure, is a small rendered cottage. This cottage has a front elevation with two windows and a door facing south, a slate roof with a tile ridge, and timber casements at the rear. The interior of the chapel has not been inspected.
