Description
The former schoolroom is a building constructed with coursed and squared stone for the chapel, roughcast render for the hall and manse, and slate roofs. The chapel features a wide pedimented gable facing the street, with original entrances on either side that have been blocked, likely when the schoolroom and porch were added to the north. However, the radial fanlights remain as windows. The chapel has paired tall central round arched windows and similar windows in the west gable, while the south elevation is blind. A gabled porch provides the current entrance to both the chapel and the schoolroom/hall, located against the north wall of the chapel. The hall is a single storey with a three-window range, featuring 12-pane sash windows with flat arched heads. Adjacent to the hall is the former manse, which also has a gable facing the street and includes a doorway to the right, with a 12-pane sash window at the center of the gable on each floor. There is a side wall stack.
The interior largely dates from 1842, with some alterations. It contains box pews, some of which now block the former doorway and are contemporary but reused. The low pulpit and tall reredos-panel both feature neo-gothic tracery. The set fawr was altered in the later 19th century, likely when the schoolroom was added. The ceiling is flat and plastered, adorned with decorative roses.
