Description
Home Farm is a house built in two sections, likely constructed as separate homes. It features a rendered exterior over roughly coursed and squared rubble, topped with old slate roofs. The right-hand section may be the oldest part of the building. Both houses are two storeys high. The right-hand house has a two-unit layout with a central entrance, and its lower windows have drop-ended hood moulds, while three upper windows are positioned beneath the eaves. Throughout, there are small-paned casement or horizontally sliding sash windows.
The central house also has a central entrance, which is marked by a heavy stone lintel above the doorway. It includes small-paned casement windows above and to the left of the entrance, with a 6-pane fixed-light window to the right. To the left, a single-unit house represents a separate phase of construction, featuring small-paned casement windows and a doorway with steep cambered heads. The rear elevation facing the stable yard is irregularly fenestrated, with most of the current windows being old insertions, including sash windows with 4 and 16 panes, although some earlier windows with cambered heads are still visible.
Inside the right-hand house, there is a roughly arched bresummer above a former inglenook fireplace and paired spine beams with scrolled chamfer stops in the main room. A splat baluster staircase adds to the interior features.
