Description
Maesmawr House is a three-storey building with a three-window front, finished in scribed render. It features a slate roof and stock brick chimney stacks, along with wide boarded eaves. The left two bays have gables that contain 16-pane sash windows on the second floor, while below them are square bay windows with horned tripartite sashes. To the right, there are 12 and 16-pane sash windows. The mid-19th century doorcase includes pilasters, side lights, and an overlight, leading to a panelled door. There is also a boarded door to the right that opens onto a side passage, and a tiny 4-pane attic window is located in the left gable. At the rear right, there is a two-window gable in scribed render with sash windows.
Inside, the entrance hall features ornate plaster brackets and has a right-angled turn to the rear. A blocked former main entrance is visible in the drawing room, located to the left of the current doorway. The ceilings on the first floor are lower at the front, indicating an earlier part of the building, and there are panelled doors throughout.
