Description
Maes Tyddyn is a tall, two-storey building featuring exposed rubble walling on the gables and a rendered rear elevation, which may be covering timber-framing. Some of the framing is visible on the front wall. The roof is asymmetrical, with a lower slope over the front elevation. A large lateral stack projects from the rear wall, complete with shoulders leading to diagonal shafts. There is a later single-storey extension that wraps around the rear and west gable end. The windows are small-paned casements.
Although not inspected, it is reported that the building includes a hall and parlour on the ground floor, with the hall featuring a large fireplace with a bressumer. There are three chambers above. Internally, the timber framing is exposed, showcasing close-studded walling, substantial queen-post trusses with arch bracing, and some wind-braces.
