Description
The entrance gates and piers to the Church of St Trillo are made of square grey stone with yellow sandstone quoins and flat capstones. The eastern pier is shallow and adjoins No. 12 High Street. The western pier is connected on its southern side by a wall that matches the style of the piers, which leads towards the church entrance and defines a pathway. Attached to the stone piers are square-section piers made of cast iron with open-work designs, featuring pyramidal caps and moulded bases. Between the piers are double wrought iron gates, which have top rails that sweep down and are adorned with spear finials. There are also dog rails beneath the mid-rail, which also feature spear finials.
