Description
The main gateway to Nantclwyd Hall is a three-arch structure built from axe-dressed, informally coursed local limestone. The central arch is high and semicircular, topped with an open pediment that features a roundel. The side arches are smaller and narrower, supported by low terminal piers, and have hollow-curved copings that slope up to the main arch. The gateway has a plain plinth, plain rock-faced string courses at each arch abutment, and plain keystones. The timber gates are panelled without cross-bracing, and the top rails of the main pair of gates are double-curved. Additionally, the gateway includes a short section of park boundary wall on both the north and south sides.
